VIGIL FOR MURDERED JEWS
September 2, 2021
Whenever a Jew is harmed, it hurts us all.

The murder of 19-year-old Yeshiva student Shmuel Silverberg has shaken the American Jewish community. He was gunned down at Yeshivas Toras Chaim in Denver, Colorado. May his memory be a blessing.

The murder of 21-year-old Border Police Officer Barel Shmueli has also shaken the Jewish world, after he was shot in the head during recent rioting on the Gaza border, and later died of his wounds. May his memory be a blessing.

End Jew Hatred Canada is organizing a vigil to honor their memories, and that of all Jews murdered by bigoted antisemites and terrorists.

Join us: September 2 at 4:45 pm at the Holocaust Memorial, Earl Bales Park, 4169 Bathurst St., Toronto.

End Jew Hatred New York is holding a vigil at the same time at City Hall, Manhattan. Other chapters are also holding vigils.

Every Jewish life counts.

Download the candle app on your phone or bring a candle.

If you'd like to host a vigil in your area, either in person or virtual, reach out and we can help you with planning. You can do it any day if Thursday is too soon.

If you are unable to attend, please light a candle in memory of murdered Jewish victims of hatred and share it on social media using #EndJewHatred.

While we mourn the tragic murder of these young Jews, haters are mobilizing against us. In New York City the terror supporters are using the slogan “Globalize the Intifada” and will be holding a rally on Sunday at Grand Central Station. In Canada, “VotePalestine” is a website that is pressuring electoral candidates to sign a pledge against Israel, against the Jewish people. Their support for Paletinian Arabs is vacuous, and nothing more than a campaign against Jews.
The last intifada was a horrendous campaign of terrorist violence that killed over 1,000 Jews in Israel. Calling for a global intifada is like declaring war on Jews! These people want to bring that violent Jew-hatred to the West.

We need YOU to show people that Jews will not be intimidated.

We need YOU in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in New York who are being threatened, and our kin in Israel who have suffered so much and buried yet another young Israeli.

We hope to see you there.
